Washington Brant Foundation Decoy Carving Competition

Washington Brant Foundation will host  our annual fundraiser celebration with the 2026 Puget Sound Open Decoy Carving Competition, featuring entries from across the US. We are proud to welcome renown carvers to our community to share their expertise. Competition classes will include Youth/Novice, Open Working, Special Mini, Brant, and WA Ducks Unlimited decoy class. Enjoy judging in the water tank along with displays by WA Waterfowl Association, Ducks Unlimited, and antique traders. Competition decoys, outdoor swag, and raffle prizes will be available. Funds generated will support our scholarship program and public outreach, which includes decoy carving classes offered through Burlington Parks and Recreation. 

Brant Division

Our famous Brant division contest. One of our most popular events. Compete with regional and national carvers for prizes including money and cool custom WBF embroidered Filson gear.

Open Working Decoys

Like last year, we have combined the three open class categories (Diver, Puddler, and Confidence) into one division. The best of each class will compete for the best of show title. Working decoy class rules apply.
